AT&T DSL Still Really Sucks

Here we are on the 29th and I still have no internet access. Over a week now and these jerks won't tell us when we'll get it back or even let us talk to a real person. The kings of customer non-service! AT&T sucks. I'm goin' back to cable. Thanks for nothing, AT&T.

AT&T Sucks

Well, I got the last post up on Monday morning from my daughter's house since my DSL line from AT&T was out for four days. Well, here it is Thursday at lunch time and my DSL has been out for over a week now and still no resolution to internet connectivity. Worse thing I ever did was switch to AT&T DSL from my cable provider.

And to add insult to injury, I can't talk to a real person to find out what's goin' on. There's an 800 number to call but they've been lying all week about when it would be back up and then tell you that if you ask for a real person to speak with that they will have no further info. Wonderful customer NON-service. Typical. Oh, and to wade through their recording takes over a minute and a half. What a waste of time.

Like I said: AT&T sucks worse than my cable company did. And the cable company sucked, too.

Tropical Storm Fay in Daytona Beach

We haven't been able to post lately. My wonderful internet provider, AT&T high speed, was down for almost 100 hours during Tropical Storm Fay. We never, not one single time, were able to talk to a real person to get any info on the outage or when it would be back up. Typical -- customer non-service. Another funny thing: their cables are all buried, not hangin' from poles and we didn't have too much wind in east Volusia County - well at least not very bad winds. Sustained at fifty or sixty for a few hours, but not much wind damage at all.
Below is an angry ocean shot from Ormond by the Sea.
This was a really strange storm. I don't thing it ever reached Hurricane status, but the difference between 60 mph wind and 74 mph wind isn't very much. It's still blowin' hard. The strangest thing about Fay was how it came blowing in then stopped and just hovered over the area, not moving, and dropping tremendous amounts of rain from Tuesday through yesterday. We received about 20 inches in our area, but other parts of Central Florida received much more with severe flooding in Melbourne and a few other places. We haven't been on the motorcycles ridin' for almost a week and it's drivin' us nuts. Below is a shot of Boots on the boardwalk at Flagler Beach where we stopped to watch some crazy surfers in the 8' to 10' waves.

Below are a couple of shots of Highway A1A between Flagler Beach and Ormond Beach. The sand in the roadways was a real problem, even though we were in the pick up truck, not on the bike. It blew up, or washed up, over the roadway and presents unique challenges. It's not as slick as drivin' on packed snow or ice, but it's squirrely and you get your paint sand-blasted if you follow too closely behind others.
Every hurricane or tropical storm we have is unique, but this one was really strange. We were kinda stuck in the house as if we were in a blizzard up north. But puttin' up with these storms ever couple of years is a small price to pay to live in an area where we can ride the year 'round.

Ride safe and enjoy the moment!

Banning Guns - Obama Stance

Monk and crew -

I recently wrote to Dixie Biker asking for us to be aware of Barack Obama's anti firearm history. His recently pronounced support for the "Global Poverty Act", under the direction of the United Nations, calls for ( among other things) "a worldwide ban on small arms and light weapons".

This to me is further evidence of his anti gun beliefs. I am not a gun nut, but am a strenuous believer in the 2nd Amendment and, for that matter, that our Constitution trumps any UN mandate. As I learn more about Obama, I have become increasingly convinced that he stands for most of the things that I have grown up believing to be not in the best interests of our country.

Thanks for your publication,
Dick VdB, Alachua

Just one of the many things where Obama is more interested in the "world's interests" than American interests. After-all this is the guy that thinks we have 57 States; whose wife is only just now proud of America; and who spent half of August campaigning in Europe. Jeez - let him run for office in the European Union or for a position at the worthless UN.
Sticker from Wile E

Update at 9:24 am est.
I went to read Neal's Nuze this morning before his show hit the air and look what's leading his program notes:

OBAMA ON GUNS

Just how does The Chosen One feel about the 2nd Amendment? After the Supreme Court ruled on the DC gun ban Obama was somewhat trapped. His previous position in favor of the ban was inoperative, so he had to come up with a new position. So ... what would that be? The Big BO's position on guns is that nobody in this country should be allowed to carry a concealed weapon unless they are retired law enforcement officers or members of the U.S. military. We could phrase this another way: Nobody can carry a concealed weapon unless they work for the government as a member of the U.S. military or civilian law enforcement, or used to work for the government as a police officer. This is Obama, folks. Privileges for government and those who work for government ... but for the common man, not so much.

Ahhhhh .... But he's so suave, so debonair, and he speaks so well! It doesn't really matter what he says, but he sure says it good!

Ridin' in Summer Thunderstorms

As I'm writin' this, Tropical Storm Fay is headed our way - we'll probably get the brunt of it this evening. According to forecasts, it's not gonna be much of a wind event, only 35 - 45 mph, but there's gonna be lotsa rain. That's kinda been the story of the summer of '08 already and this past Saturday was no exception. Once again we had several events to cover in one day but the thunderstorms moved in very early - around noon.

It was dark, gloomy and threatening as we headed south on US 1 through Daytona, New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater to Headley's Lagoon Saloon where the Mongols MC Southened Chapter were having their Summer Party. It rained a couple of times on the trip down and there were only a couple of bikes in the lot when we arrived. Some of their sister chapters were on their way, but were delayed and sittin' out rain storms along the road.
We hung out an hour or so, shootin' the shit with Joker, and then headed to DeLand for the end of a Memorial Bike Ride and Skydive Party for Victor Herrick who died earlier this summer on the Tail of the Dragon at Deal's Gap. Many of y'all probably know of him since he'd jump in for the Coleslaw Rasslin' at the Cabbage Patch during Bike Week.

The Lonesome Losers put on the run, Vic was a member, and Boots and I wondered how many would make the run--we didn't expect a large turnout cuz of the weather. Shortly after we arrived at Skydive DeLand, about 75 bikes rolled in and I t hought that was great turnout considering the nasty ridin' weather. Folks ridin' in the rain and dodgin' thunderstorms I can understand - been there, done that. But those crazy skydivers jumpin' outta planes in this weather. . . I can't believe that was happenin'. Holy Moley! But sure enuff, jump they did.

One of the lonesome losers - Whacker - even took advantage of the tandem special they offered that day, and made his first jump. You da man, whacker.

After hanging out for a couple of hours and eatin' one of the best grouper sandwiches I've ever had, we headed up Hwy 17 to Trader Jack's Roadside for the end of another run. Shortly after arriving, the storms really rolled in hard and heavy. We were dry and protected under the deck, but man did it rain and get super windy!
But it's Florida in the summer, and forty-five minutes later the sun broke through, a rainbow arched across the sky and we hauled ass while we had the break in the weather. Legs got lotsa road wet, but we avoided storms on the way home. A good day, hangin' with good folks on another Saturday filled with thunderstorms. Summer of '08.

Motorcycle Road Tale - Just Ridin'

This is from one of our staff - Johnny P.

You know, ridin' is ridin'. But some ridin' is way better than some other ridin'. I ride to and from work 99 percent of the time. I ride to the store for take-out or for a six-pack. I ride to swim, I ride to grin. I ride to glide, I ride to hide. I ride, I ride, I ride. . .

Last December I started keeping track of my miles and have more than 22,000 so far. Some of the better ridin' I get to do though is on a day when I have no where to go. I'm sure you know the ones I mean - when my only decisions for the day are left, right, straight and where my next meal will be devoured. Recently, I had the pleasure to talk with this nice guy at a gas station who was taking a break from just such a "nowhere" ride. He was an older guy with short cropped, white hair, a sun-tanned face and that "nowhere to be" look in his eye, sittin' on a bench in front of the store sippin' coffee, smokin' a butt and lookin' out at the dirtiest bike I'd ever seen. As I strolled past him I leaned in and said in a joking manner, "Ya know, Ocala Harley washes every bike with a service."

"Nah, I didn't know that," he said while blowin' smoke. "I haven't sat still in one place long enough to know."

"Oh? It kinda looks like you've been mud boggin' with your bike, bro," I said.
"Nah, just a lotta ridin'. I just got back from the 4-corners and didn't take time to do much but piss, eat and sleep along the ride back. That was a grueling ride back."

Turns out his bike is an 2004 and already had 136,000 miles on it. Good God! I paused, back tracked a few minutes and asked, "The four corners you say? The rally out west?"

"Nope," he replied, still draggin' on his smoke. "My own '4-corners'. From here in Palatka I rode diagonally across America to the northwestern seaboard then it was south to Mexico, back to California, then up toward Canada over to the northeastern
seaboard and then south and back home to Florida."

I sat down on a bench across from him and listened for an hour as he took me on his ride. I now know the weather, the people, the places, the smells, and the feelings the excitement he experienced. I also learned about the exhausting nature of doing just such a trip on a motorcycle. We sat there and while he talked I just listened in amazment. As we said our goodbyes, ride safes and what have you, he gave me his card and asked me to make sure he gets on the mailing list for Dixie Biker. You see, his daughter maintains his mail box for him and sends him packages while he's on the road and she always packs a few Dixie Bikers in with each shipment. When he told me that, I was hit with a flood of memories of my own.

Thoughts of the road stories Billy Bob used to share with me when I was just a kid popped to the surface of my brain. Billy Bob is married to my mom, and I've known him since I was nine or so. He told me every tale there is to hear about riding. In the 60s, when he was old enough to get his license, and before he went off to the service, he took off on a 3-year tour of the North American continent. The stories he shared with me seemed simple and exciting at the time. Basically, as I remember the tales, he would ride till he was broke, pull into the next farm, work for a few days then ride off again. Then it was repeat! For three years. Way cool.

So when this guy, Jim's his name, was telling me how his daughter takes care of stuff while he's away, I got very happy, but then somewhat sad, too. It kinda hit me that we can't do that kinda ride ever again. "Shit just doesn't work like that anymore," I thought as I remembered Billy Bob's road tales. "There are just way too many things to take care of when you're that young." I just write it off as something I'll never be able to do; I'll just never have the time or the chance.

Yep, that's what I thought. . . till I met Jim that day. Then I realized that I'll have a second chance at that type of ride. I'll just have to do it when I'm all
done with all the shit I gotta do now. Until the time I can take a month off to make my own 'four-corners" road trip, I'll just do 'one-day-rides-to-nowhere' every chance I get!

Why I'm voting Democrat

I'm voting Democrat because English has no place being the official language in America.

I'm voting Democrat because it's better to turn corn into fuel than it is to eat.

I'm voting Democrat because I'd rather pay $4 for a gallon of gas than allow drilling for oil off the coasts of America.

I'm voting Democrat because I think the government will do a better job of spending my money than I could.

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Afghanistan and Iraq I know the Islamic terrorists will stop trying to kill us because they'll think we're a good and decent country.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe people who can't tell us if it will rain in two or three days can now tell us the polar ice caps will disappear in ten years if I don't start riding a bicycle, build a windmill or inflate my tires to proper levels.

I'm voting Democrat because it's alright to kill millions of babies as long as we keep violent, convicted criminals on death row alive.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe businesses in America should not be allowed to make profits. Businesses should just break even and give the rest to the government so politicians and bureaucrats can redistribute the money the way they think it should be redistributed.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe guns, and not the people misusing them, are the cause of crimes and killings.

I'm voting Democrat because when someone with a weapon threatens my family or me, I know the government can respond faster through a call to 911 than I can with a gun in my hand.

I'm voting Democrat because oil companies' 5% profit on a gallon of gas are obscene but government taxes of 18% on the same gallon of gas are just fine.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe three or four elitist liberals should rewrite the Constitution every few months to suit some fringe element that could never get their agenda past voters.

I'm voting Democrat because illegal aliens are not criminals, are not sucking up resources through government aid, hospital services, education, or social services, but are just people trying to make a better life by coming to America illegally. We can't blame them for that, can we?

I'm voting Democrat because now I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

Makes ya wonder why anyone would ever vote Republican, doesn't it?

Biker Wisdom

1. Always remember: you're unique. Just like everyone else.

2. If you think nobody cares if you're alive, miss a couple of mortgage payments.

3. If you lend someone ten bucks and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

4. If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

5. Some days you're the bug; some days you're the windshield.

6. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

7. Duct tape is like 'The Force'. It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.

8. There are two theories to arguing with women. Neither one works.

9. Generally speaking, you aren't learning much when your lips are moving.

10. Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

11. Never miss a good chance to shut up.

Italian Motorcycle Demonstration

Got this in from my Godfather - JPA, who's chillin' at The Rock on Lake George and who has lotsa free time when it rains to find amazin' stuff like this. Plus one of our readers, Chinga, sent it to me Saturday, so I figured I'd get it posted. It's a pretty amazin' demonstration of synchronized ridin' skills from back in the fifties or sixties. For those of you that've visited Italy, you know these are highly prized skills. As a matter of fact, these are highly necessary skills. If you're not a skillfull rider on the crowded streets, buzzin' with scooters and crotch rockets, of the major cities, you definitely have your work cut out for you!

Two Bikers Die in Accident

Two bikers died in Lake County this week and we just got the news from a reader. What a bummer. Here's the info:

Norman M. Kauffman (aka "Rocky" and owner of KSC Performance Cycles in Belleview. ), 54, and David G. Daniels, 41, of Leesburg, were killed Tuesday night, August 5th, when the motorcycles they were riding bumped each other, went out of control and ran off County Road 25, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

The motorcycles, a 1999 Fat Boy Harley-Davidson, driven by Kauffman, and a 2007 Fat Boy, driven by Daniels, were heading north on County Road 25 at about 8:50 p.m. when both vehicles failed to make a curve. The motorcycles collided, according to FHP, with the '99 Fat Boy going off-road just south of County Road 42 and onto the west shoulder where it flipped over in a gravel parking lot. Kauffman was thrown off when the motorcycle flipped and hit a utility pole guide wire.

Daniels’ motorcycle ran off the road and hit a palm tree, started spinning and slid about 25 feet before stopping. Daniels was thrown off and his head hit the front of an empty flat-bed trailer. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a Marion County Fire Rescue paramedic at 8:59 p.m.
----------------------------

If you're ridin' two-abreast together, you gotta know the other person very, very well or this kinda stuff is gonna continue happenin'. It's the reason I very seldom ride side-by-side with anyone, no matter how long I've known them, no matter how long I've been ridin' with them. I ride staggered with at least ten feet separating me from the other bike. You just never know what might happen and on a motorcycle it's definitely not like being in a car or truck. You have no protective metal surrounding you; no safety harness; no seat belt. Just two hands grippin' the handlebars. If something runs out in the road; if something pops up in the road; or if another biker you're ridin' with is distracted for just a second, this kinda thing can happen instantly and there's not much you can do about it. Think ahead, always be aware and try not to put yourself in dangerous or unsafe situations.

Oh, by the way. . .
of course the local media made a big deal out of the fact that the bikers were not wearing helmets. http://www.ocala.com/article/20080807/NEWS/808070352/0/APA Like that would have prevented these unfortunate deaths.

Please ride safe and smart! And try to avoid putting yourself in an unsafe situation.

Let's Ride - Motorcycle Happenings

Well alrighty then - it's Friday and we didn't get much in from folks yesterday so we're gonna take hot August break from worrying about, and solving, the problems in the world. There's lotsa folks in Sturgis, I think - haven't really checked it out this year - but there's also a lot happenin' right here in our neck of the woods. It's time to ride, dodge the thunderboomers and check out biker events in Central Florida this weekend. We'll be in the wind takin' pictures at as many events as we can make it to. There's an updated listing on our calendar page here (Events) if you wanna check out some of the places we'll be.

There's wet t-shirt contests, bike games, poker runs, benefits and memorials. Surely you'll find something that will interest you. And, as always, ride safe and defensively. You know the folks in cages don't see us and, if they do see us, they really don't give a damn!

Obama's Latest Tax Proposal

$1,000 rebates to families, $500 to individuals, from the [nanny] government to help people cope with the high cost of gas. How is he gonna pay for it? Here's the quote: "That is why I am proposing that we pay for this rebate by taxing the windfall profits of oil companies so we can use some of their record profits to help families pay record prices." http://thepage.time.com/senator-barack-obama-announces-emergency-economic-plan/

First of all, those"excess" windfall profits are what pays the dividends to millions of working Americans through retirement accounts, pension plans and mutual funds. And Secondly, who gets to decide what "excess profits" are? The government, of course. Which we all love and trust. Anyhow, here's the facts about profits and taxes at Exxon last quarter:

According to CNN, Exxon Mobil once again reported the largest quarterly profit in U.S. history Thursday, posting net income of $11.68 billion on revenue of $138 billion in the second quarter. That profit works out to $1,485.55 a second. Wow. That's a lot of money. But wait. . .

. . . Exxon Mobil paid $32.361 billion in taxes in the second quarter, which works out to $4,114 in taxes per second.

So Exxon Mobil's profit is a bit over 8% of sales, but the taxes they paid are over 23% of sales! So Exxon has already paid not quite three times more in taxes than they made in profit! And Obama wants to tax them more?! Holy moly.

And oh, by the way, corporations don't pay taxes. Yes, we have a corporate tax rate of 35% or so in the US, and yes, corporations do "pay" this money. But not really. In reality, corporations are just a collection agency for the government because they collect the 35% from me and you by adding that 35% to the cost of the item they're selling to us. It's embedded in the price so we don't even see it.

And Obama promises to take more and more. That means that you and me, not corporations, are gonna pay more and more. Or else our kids and grandkids will be paying it in the future through payments on our national debt.

Here's a simple graphic of how Obama's Plan will work:

No More Motorcycles?

No more motorcycles. Yep, it's what we may be facing after listening to another of Obama's inane, unthought out "plans" to bring about his "Change we can believe in." His latest quote ". . . [we must make America] fossil fuel free in our lifetime." Now how in the hell is he gonna make that happen? Investing in alternative energy sources. Right.

We've gotten twenty or thirty e-mails in the past couple of days from readers about the subject. We can't publish all the stuff we've been gettin' so I'll boil it down to what we're hearin':

What's gonna power our motorcycles? Our trucks? Our cars? Our boats? Our jet skis? Our four wheelers? Our air conditioners? Our blow dryers? Our lights? Our factories, our stores, our restaurants?

Are my kids and grandkids supposed to give up the 'leisure' things we've enjoyed through our hard work, and our ancestors' efforts of the past 200+ years?

I ain't a Harvard educated lawyer who despises America and what we've become (or how "we're seen by the rest of the world."), so I don't have the "book smarts" of Obama, but I am smart enough to know that there ain't no way in hell we can change America in ten or twenty years by goin' to 'alternative' energy sources without destroying our way of life and our economy. I love the biker lifestyle; I love America, what she stands for, where we started and where we are (mostly). I want the same, and better, for my kids and grandkids. That ain't gonna happen without oil for the next couple of generations. No doubt we need to continue the search for alternative energy sources (and American ingenuity and capitalism and a market economy will drive that), but that's gotta be in addition to developing America's oil potential through the market economy. We just need less government, not more ast Obama proposes.

Here's some more info on alternative energy: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121797838304214973.html?mod=djemEditorialPage

Biker BBQ Grill and a T-Shirt

Monday morning, early, and the caffine is just starting to flow. Got some stuff from over the weekend to post. First up I got this little funny in from Grump:

Electile Dysfunction: The inability to become aroused over any of the choices for President put forth by either party this year.

We've received this picture several times from several different readers so I figured I'd post it here. We'll call it a Southern Biker's BBQ Grill. We have no idea who built it, where it's located or any other info.

On Saturday evening we hooked up with DBI free lancers Wile E and Road Runner for a bit of catching up and to drop off the new issue of Dixie Biker. Road Runner was wearin' one of our 'Bike Week' shirts [only called 'Bike Week' cuz that's when we debut it]. She had a buncha inquiries from folks wantin' to purchase one so we might hafta get some made since we sold out the initial run. Anyhow, here's a bigger picture of the shirt:

The original idea for the shirt was as a take off and counterpoint to a billboard that the Brady people put up on Interstates coming into Florida after we (The People with a big assist from the NRA) got the "Castle Doctrine" law passed in Florida a couple of years ago.

Hope y'all have a great week!

Ten Reasons a Motorcycle is Better than a Man

I love my bike and I love men, but sometimes it’s a toss up! (Just kidding, honey.) Here's ten reasons a bike might be better than a man! And fellows, don't get mad -- you can easily switch it up to apply to women!

1. You decide how long and how hard you’re gonna ride!
2. Your bike is always ready to go when you are.
3. Your bike won’t bitch about your cookin’.
4. Your bike doesn’t mind you riding while you’re ragging.
5. Your bike won’t get jealous if you ride other bikes!
6. Your bike doesn’t mind if you want to cuddle after you ride.
7. Your bike won’t mind if you stop and ask for directions.
8. You can dump your bike more then once and it will still let you ride!
9. Your bike won’t complain if ya don’t shave before wrapping your legs around its middle.
10. Your bike vibrates every time ya turn it on!

Enuff said! Live Love Laugh. . . Lexy

Cure for High Gas Prices?

I spent yesterday, Friday, August 1, driving around North Florida delivering the August issue of Dixie Biker Illustrated. Since I do it in the pick-up truck I get to listen to the radio instead of hearin' the wind rush by. The news reports -- every half hour, all day -- talked mainly about three points: the presumptive Republican and Democrat presidential candidates stumping in the Sunshine State; Nancy Pelosi shutting down the House of Representatives (or should that be the non-Representative house); and record profits at the major oil companies. The price of gas is near and dear to our hearts, so we listened intently to McCain's and Obama's recommendations to ease the impact of the high prices. . .

Obama (D): ". . . inflate your tires and get proper tune-ups."

McCain (R): ". . . drill off America's coasts now."

Well gee whiz -- who's got a plan? And thanks for that bit of sage advice, Obama. You're a friggin' genius. Change you can believe in. Right. Sounds like an echo from the '70's

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The second story was Peolosi (D-California) shutting down the House of Representatives for a month using some obscure rule to avoid debate and allow a direct vote on the subject of off shore drilling. Wonderful. These elitists take a month off - summer recess - on our money, and leave us to suck it up and find the money to salvage our summer vacations. And to really piss me off, one commentator remarked ". . . if the House voted to lift the offshore drilling ban, per gallon prices would drop immediately by fifty to seventy-five cents per gallon. . ."

Now I don't know about all that, it sounds great, but I do know that it's time we stopped sending our $$$ to people that hate us. It's time to develop our own resources and our own research into alternative fuels. Even here in the Sunshine State, new polls show over 60% of Floridians want to drill offshore now. That's a big turn around from a couple of years ago. It's time for Pelosi, the House of Representatives and their counterparts in the Senate to listen to the people about off-shore drilling. So. . .

Today it's off to Gator Harley-Davidson in Leesburg for their fifteenth anniversary celebration. Gas for the trip over and back is gonna cost thirty or forty bucks - double what we paid just a year ago - and I won't be able to buy some doo-dad or another that I'd normally buy. Instead of buyin' something to support a local American business, my money's goin' to an oil producer in a foreign country (that probably wants to wipe us off the face of the earth) because our American Congress won't allow American businesses to to employ American people to drill for American oil in American waters. Now what in the hell is wrong with that picture?

Righteous Biker Women

Got this in from one of our readers who wrote:

"Hi Monk,
I've had this sitting in my 'mail to be sent' for the past 6 years ( 2002). I have no idea where I got it (probably one of the biker mags or sites) If you can use it feel free. Mort"

It takes a righteous woman to love a biker man,
To pay the dues, obey the rules, and just a damn few can.
They're the ones I'm toasting, the women in our world.
So lift your mugs and join me, and lets drink to the girls. . .

That rare and special breed,
Who care for us, shed tears for us, and understand our creed.
They feed us when were hungry, they warm us when were cold,
Sometimes they drive us crazy by not doin what they're told.
But when we stick our chests out, they're there to watch our backs.
And when we turn the lights out, they're waitin in the sack.

They wash our dirty dishes, and they polish up our chrome;
They pay our bail when we're in jail and make our hovels home.
Although we seldom say so, and some of us never do,
We love our women deeply with a love both strong and true.
When we take them riding,or meet them in the wind,
We know we're with our lover, our own kind and friends.

So, Bro's lets drink to the ladies, and bless them every one,
Because, Lord knows without them, life wouldn't be much fun.
They party hearty with us, and match us drink for toke,
They squeeze our bulging muscles, and laugh at all our jokes.
They tease us and tempt us, they ply us with their charms.
They whisper sweet things in our ears, and snuggle in our arms.
They wile us and beguile us, they impress us with their class,
And when we think weve got them trained, they up and show their ass.
But thats part of the spirit that makes them who they are,
And if they didn't have it, we wouldn't pack them far.

Down all the roads weve ridden they're the best weve ever found
