America - Greatest Country on Earth

Regardless of your politics, you gotta watch this video until the young Veteran walks away. This is why America is the greatest country on earth - our citizens.

Only two people ever sacrificed their lives for people:
Jesus Christ and American Soldiers.

Biden, Reid, Obama - Patriotic Americans?

Democratic VP Candidate Joe Biden said Thursday (Sept. 18): ". . . paying more in taxes is the patriotic thing to do. . ."

I guess that's what you learn after 35+ years in Washington. What a jerk. Give us a break. The Patriotic thing to do? Jeez. These guys sure have a different perspective on Patriotism than you and I.

Then we have Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on the financial mess in Washington and Wall Street: ". . . no one knows what to do. . ." ". . . we're going to adjourn, go home and . . ."

So now the government baild out these Corportations and put you and I on the hook for their failures. Why is there no investigation of the CEOs of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who took over $90 million in pay and bonuses using bogus earnings figures? They cooked the books and what happens? Nothing. Oh, not nothing. . . they're Obama's economic advisers. Steal from American citizens, cook the books and get promoted. Yep, like Reid says in this picture: "Screw you, little American. You're not smart enough to know how these things work."

And now the Messiah - the new leader of the Democratic Party - the 'Patriotic' Barack Hussein Obama:
What would the Founders of our great Nation think? Man oh man, two hundred and twenty-five years as a democratic Republic and now we're on the verge of being the USSA - the United Socialist States of America.

No Motorcycles for a while

We haven't posted in a bit because life and getting magazines ready for Biketoberfest have taken a lotta time.
We had a great party with the Rat's Ass crew at Bulow Campground on September 6 and during a band break Boots was on stage givin' away some raffle items. Well, coming off stage she missed the last step and hit the concrete floor pretty hard. Of course folks came over to help out and we wanna especially thank Jim and Liz of Longwood. Liz is a registered nurse and talked Boots into goin' to the hospital. Good thing. She broke her left leg just below the knee and is gonna be in a full leg cast for the next eight weeks. Bummer. Now I'll be chauferring her around in the back of the pick-up instead of riding our bikes or ridin' two-up. Oh well. Just another chapter to add to life's little book of memories! Our kids (and our six grand kids) all came over last Saturday to lend a little support to Mom as well as 'prettyin' up' her cast. That was fun.
We've been gittin' lotsa e-mails from y'all about the Presidential campaigns and 98% of 'em are blasting Obama. We'll get some of that stuff posted in teh next couple of days.
Thanks for your patience.

Biker Friend in the White House?

Got this picture in from a reader. He included a link to Alaska's official website:

Here's the caption that accompanied the picture:

Tale of the Tape: Sarah Palin vs. Barack Obama

Received this "Tale of the Tape" from six readers since Thursday morning, so we reckon it's worth posting. Obviously it's on lots of minds out there ... It's from Jeff Emanuel and he originally posted it on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 and he did a good job of differentiating between Palin and Obama even though they're running for different positions. Click this link:

And then I got this picture of Sarah Palin in from Frankie 5 Angels. This is better 'n the one of her shootin' the M4 with the US Army.

Disturbing Wildlife Trend in America

The local cable company finally made it out and got us back up. No idea if our old dsl is back up. It wasn't yesterday morning. Anyhow, got this funny in from a reader while we were on the road delivering the September issue of Dixie Biker to all our fine advertisers.

The photo below captures a disturbing trend that is beginning to affect wildlife in the US. Animals that were formerly self-sufficient are now showing signs of belonging to the Democratic Party ...

... they have apparently learned to just sit and wait for the government to step in and provide for their care and sustenance.

"Peaceful" Democratic Anti-War protesters

Got this in from a reader today. . .

It never fails to amaze me the idiocy of people. On the very first day GOP Convention in St. Paul, Mn., a lot of Republican delegates were attacked, some pretty violently, by Anti-War Protesters. Huh?

I guess I am confused with the ideology of people who are supposedly against violence, and who then resort to violence against innocent civilians. These protesters don't want us fighting terrorism, fighting against people who have no problems killing Americans, but then these same anti-war protest people have no problems attacking innocent civilian Americans.

So I guess, if I understand this correctly, these protesters feel it is OK to attack America and Americans, but it is not OK for America or Americans to fight back. I bet these are some of the people who feel that killing an unborn child through abortion is fine, but then those same people have a problem killing terrorists like Osama Bin Laden and his friends. Sheesh, told ya I'm confused. Guess I am simply unable to understand this logic. If anyone out there feels they can explain this 'logic' to me, feel free.

But personally, if you want to hurt American Civilians, I don't care if you are a protester or Bin Laden himself, maybe ya ought to try with this American Civilian. Cause I for one, have exactly zero problems fighting back to defend Myself, My Family, or My Country.

AT & T

Yepper - a week later; twenty seven promises of the network will be back up by ____ pm or am (fill in teh time of your choice); and countless hours on hold trying to get someone to help resolve the problem and it's sitll out. "We're working hard and our engineers are close to fixing the problem." Sure,

Another huge corporate bureaucracy and it's impossible to talk to someone with an American accent or one that is working on American time instead of Mumbay time, Jeez. I give up. It's back to the cable company tomorrow.
